Quick report

Cracking
specific

We sprinted to Upper Reed this morning in hopes of finding a deeper snowpack, which we found along with a persistent slab problem. The zone was littered with evidence of D1 to D2 persistent slab avalanches which appeared to have released during the last storm. We found that this weak layer was still reactive after yielding shooting cracks and an ECTP22 ~60cm below the surface on a thin layer of facets. The problem did not change with aspect, however it did lessen the further south we traveled (towards the forecast area).
