Wind loaded north facing edge of gully on east aspect of Gov Peak, started remotely from ridge. Avalanche propagated from the NE ridge down the east aspect 300 yds, avalanche went for about 1200 vertical feet. Warning signs noted, skiers did not enter wind loaded areas and stayed on windswept rocky terrain. Warning signs noted at lower elevation, the significant difference was the colder temperature of the powder higher up eliminated wind slab bonding to lower icy crust. Lots of active snow transport/wind loading was observed.
