- <p>Wanted to check out S facing slopes and wasn't surprised to find a KNIFE hard crust capping a few other knife/pencil crusts. Needed a saw to dig pit. No weak snow other than new surface snow. Would've broken my hand if I'd tried an ECT. </p>

Nice dust on crust conditions though you could still feel every bump underneath the new snow. Low low angle would be better riding conditions.
