Looking at the second picture you can see animal tracks, most likely moose, up to the slide path and a second set of tracks lower with the moose still there. Were there two moose? Not sure.
Most likely new snow from Saturday and Sunday that drifted and accumulated from the stronger northerly winds of Sunday afternoon and night.
