I snowshoed to above Lake Blanche choosing the winter route to get there. I noticed an avalanche that had started in the cliff bands below Blanche and ran several hundred vertical feet. The terminus of the avalanche reached the summer route and crossed it in some spots.
I also noticed other avalanches high on Dromedary and also the cliff bands directly above Blanche (see pictures). Others above the large meadow about 1.5 miles up trail.
I didn't see any ski tracks on any of the terrain in the Lake Blanche area. Other snowshoers and hikers, although limited, all stopped at the Lake.
