Quick report

Collapsing
widespread

Skinned up to the north rim of black crater coming from east aspect. Low angle burned area. Snow was heavy lower but good skiing and thin crust up top. 20-25 degree slopes. 3 loud whumphs (collapse) both on ascent and descent felt across broad area. Definitely weak layer about 2 feet down consistent with yesterdays observations. Evidence of multiple slides in Black Crater. High risk in exposed and steep terrain - definitely wanted to avoid these today and needs a few days to settle.
