Spent some time in lower angle, sheltered trees. - Total height of snow was 210cm in this area. - Slope angle was 32degrees, elevation was 9265', aspect was NW Did a quick pit and did a CT to see what was lurking found: - 2/2 rain crust complex down 100cm - Got CT23 SP down 116cm below crust in a 10cm 4F layer with 1-1.5mm facets. - Below was a P hard, 1cm layer with a 20cm thick layer of 2mm facets below Bluebird day with very light winds. Snow started feeling moist on W aspect ~2pm but was not saturating very deeply. Stayed cool in the shade with dry snow on the N aspects.
