Quick report

The day started cold, but once the sun arrived, even north aspects at 6K elevation felt the heat, to say nothing of the sweat pouring off our brows. Solar surfaces were moist to the touch at ridgetop elevations in the afternoon, and the new snow picked up density from those high angle rays. Winds were light with moderate gusts.

Avalanche

Numerous point releases and sloughs at D1 or below. Lots of old crowns visible on Nyack and up the Stanton Lake drainage that have been documented elsewhere.
