Quick report

Slow surface softening as South aspects were still supportable at 10am and only beginning to soften. ESE Skied well just past 11am. Lots of signs of an old slab avalanche littered the bottom of the basin with small to medium timber. Old crowns were still visible below the rocks on the E aspect.

Avalanche

In the morning we observed wet loose avalanches in different locations 8:23am ~ 10,000' E aspect on sub ridge near Ritter and near the Pinnacles both appeared to be from this morning ~D1. 10:03 ENE aspect Deadman Pass cornice fall and cornice triggered wet loose also looked fresh enough to possibly be this morning. While traveling near the cornices several cracks were noted as cornices are pulling away from the ridge. Glide cracks were noted on the ESE slope just past the cornices as we traveled just above them. - see photos
