Quick report
Toured up from Mt McGee Cemetery to Tobacco Point, following the ridge line mostly northwest, after the initial ascent. Snow conditions were highly variable, a mix of wind slab, ice, and wintery snow on sheltered northern aspects. After my turnaround, I picked the most drifted-in of the central gulleys and skied down, which got better as it got lower, and then smashed my way through half-buried chaparral back to Mt McGee Road. The snow was bolted down, but I could see high volume snow streamers above, off Mt Morrison and Laurel Mountain.
