We decided to check out the Dore Cliffs area and see how last nights quick hitting storm did. Overall, west facing aspects were scoured and large drifts of snow accumulated in sheltered areas. We did several hasty pits with Q2 hand Q3 shears as we ascended elevation. As we got to about 10800 feet, a hasty pit popped a clean Q1 slab and we decided to turn around. There was occasional wind transport on the ridge from westerly winds. There were no signs of recent avalanches activity.
