Mostly cloudy with a few brief periods of direct sun. Steady moderate winds at upper elevations.
Snowpack
Above 11,500ft the snow surface was firm and refrozen. We didn't encounter any avalanche issues and the hunt for dry soft snow wasn't too successful. There was a cool section of knee-deep boot backing with surface crusts digging into your leg. Didn't travel much below 11,500ft, but on our way back home the riding quality improved as we descended lower in elevation into a warm snowpack.
