- <p>Collapsing and whoomphing in open meadows and in gully and stream beds. Thinner locations where there was no melt freeze crust present you could sink through the new snow and the facets right to the ground. Foot penetration was to the ground in these locations. </p>
Good low angle skiing on settled out powder snow.
