The snowpack in this area is still taking shape. There are several weaker layers that could rear their heads and become problematic with more snow load, additional drifting, or rain wetting surface layers and softening shallowly buried crusts. The most likely places to find trouble now exists underneath ridgelines on northerly and easterly-facing slopes with thicker drifts stacked above one or more faceting rain crusts.
