We skinned to the bottom of the ramp and wrapped around to the north to dig a pit. We made the decision to not venture into avalanche terrain due to recent loading and closures of terrain in the nearby ski resort. We found signs of instability in the new 4-7" of snow that had fallen within the past 24hrs. Skies were overcast and foggy with light precipitation. Stability tests showed mixed results (CT2-Q1 and ECTN2) at the new snow interface.
