Quick report
Traveled up Taylor Creek towards the headwaters. Low elevation snow was saturated by the end of the day but high elevation slopes, even in the sun were staying relatively cold and dry. North faces did not see sun, sand had very wind affected surfaces with well-developed facets below the uppermost crust. Saw evidence of a handful of very small, loose wet slides beginning at rocky outcrops. Saw 3-4 old R2 D2 wind slab avalanches on E-SE aspects. From a summit, through a spotting scope (no photos), we noted a large natural persistent slab avalanche on a N face, breaking several feet deep on basal facets.
