Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

• No avalanches observed. • Overnight snowfall was 1” at 5000’ and 2-3” above 6000’. Westerly winds had formed 6-12” thick wind slabs along the crest of the east ridge above 6000’. • Multiple audible collapses between 6100-6400’. No shooting cracks though. Hand pits here revealed a layer of facets underneath the fresh wind slab that were likely responsible for the talking. • Little to no snow on the southerly slopes up to almost 5000’, 5-15” snow depths at 5500’ and about 60” at the weather station at 6400’.
