Cracking
isolated

Low tide made for tricky travel until about 5000'. We experienced isolated cracking in the skin track and sculpted, wind stiffened snow on western aspects and ridge lines up to 6800'. Winds were light below about 6000' but increased to a steady moderate breeze out of the southwest above 6k. We saw minimal snow transport despite the wind, as we suspected much had already been blown onto leeward aspects in the past 24+ hours. 1" of fresh snow at the car at 3500', but upwards of 12" of unconsolidated fresh in sheltered north-facing areas.
