Quick report
- Red Flags Comment
-
No red flags were observed during our trip.

Evidence of a few old large avalanches in the mid and upper elevations on north and east aspects.
Snowpack
- Instability Comment
-
The top 6 to 12 inches of snow has weakened and become faceted. In many areas the facets are accompanied by some type of surface or sub-surface crust either from previous winds, warm temperatures, or rime.

Firm melt-freeze surface snow at low elevations. On mid-elevation sheltered shady slopes, soft-faceted snow provided smooth turning. Slopes in the alpine had been pressed by the wind and had a breakable wind and rime crust with weak faceted snow just below-poor ski quality.
