Thin crust found just below surface in certain spots with solar exposure. Wind skin ~0.5-1 cm on east aspects at exposed subridge terrain features. Preserved stellar crystals on surface, despite the recent strong SW winds. We stopped in the flats just before the last push up to Cardiff Pass for a quick test profile on south aspect (see snow profile).
