5" new. We avoided consequential easterly facing terrain where there was clear evidence that the 12/7 surface hoar layer is becoming reactive, about a foot deep. On the more wind battered north to northwest-facing features, the only instabilities we could produce were long-running sluffs, some of which had gouging potential through an unsupportive snowpack at lower elevations. There were no obvious persistent slab concerns on the near-ground layers; probing around a handful of times, slabs felt eroded by winds, previous avalanches, or faceting.
Shooting cracks up to 30' and a couple of collapses on terrain features sheltered by previous wind events: on the E to NE facing start zones of 1st Bowl, 2nd Bowl, and 3rd Bowl. These were on the 12/7 surface hoar layer about 35 cm deep.Weather

Ski cut numerous loose dry avalanches from ridgeline start zones to see if anything would step down - nope. Remote triggered one small slab on an east facing, unsupported pillow feature on the 12/7 surface hoar layer. Other start zones on similar aspects produced shooting cracks but didn't slide.
