Sunshine on Sunburst! Traveled to about 3,100 feet for the first lap, then did a shorter second lap. Soft powder on top of crust made for fun skiing. Other parties took advantage of the super solid crust base and light powder to ski with some speed. One skier's cut across at the top of a steeper section around 2,700 feet caused multiple sections of wide sluffing, between new snow and crust interface. Sluffs travelled relatively slowly. No wind slabs or other signs of instability observed. Clear skies, feeling the sun in the afternoon. Calm wind in the morning, light wind noticable in the alders by 1:30 pm.
