Observed cross loading from Northern winds throughout the main Turnagain Pass corridor. Cross loading in the Bertha Creek drainage indicated WNW winds. Recently built wind slabs resulted in shooting cracks on multiple test slopes.

Clear, cold day in Turnagain. Light breeze throughout the day above treeline, but not enough to move snow.

Snowpack

Total depth of 125 cm. Two problematic layers within the snowpack with a layer of rounding facets at 30cm and a layer of buried surface hoar at 85cm. Supportable rain crust below 2400ft with trace snow sitting on top; softer dry snow at higher elevations.
