Quick report
No surprises today. Another day of sunshine and low danger made for pleasant and safe travel in avalanche terrain.
- Noticed minimal wind transport as we walked an upper-elevation ridge.
- Found small, isolated, and unreactive hard slab as we dropped into our line.
- Snow at and near the surface consists of week snow between several crusts.
- Observed debris piles from recent wet-loose activity on steep and rocky south-facing slopes.
- Encountered wet surface snow as we descended through mid-elevation cliff bands. We initiated roller balls and small wet sluffs as we contoured a southern slope at ~5400'
- Saw many tracks from recent parties. Some areas looked like the resort.
- Despite low danger and the many tracks, we elected to ski one at a time on steep slopes and regrouped in safe areas.
The most dangerous part of the day was our exit out the summer trail. It is hard packed, trenched in, and has many holes, bare spots and rocks.

Inversion with cloud deck at 4800'. Few high stratus above. Southwest winds calm to light with a couple isolated gusts of moderate capable of moving some snow on the ridgeline.
Snowpack
Several crusts in the top 30 cm with facets in between. Widespread surface hoar up to 10mm.
