Quick report
There were mixed weather conditions on our way up, some blue skies followed by snow and cloud and wind. No signs of instability. Upon reaching the summit, we changed decisions from skiing back down the route we came up and opted for the North Western facing slope, mixed between 30-40 degree angles. We skied one at a time down West facing slope. Around ~6,800ft second skier triggered an avalanche. Both skiers skied out of the avalanche path , no one was dragged or carried. Estimated crown depth to be 1.5ft and 40 ft across. We suggest a wind loaded area failed, stepped down, and broke at the persistent layer, gathering more snow and speed as it moved approximately 600ft to the bottom of the bowl. No signs of instability.
