Quick report
We went to the Apgar Range with low expectations today to check out snow totals at mid-elevation ridgelines.
- New snow along the ridge (6400 feet) was a meager 3 inches. At the trailhead, we measured 2 inches of new snow.
- Snow was moist at 6400 feet. When we made our few turns, the new snow easily sluffed on the supportable 2-inch pencil hard crust.
- Winds were calm all day and we did not observe active wind transport in this area.
- Skiing remains challenging with surface hazards and low snow coverage.

- We did not find dry snow today in any of our hand pits or snow profiles. Great snow for making a snowman.
