Quick report
Same as yesterday, but deeper. • At mid elevations we observed 18cm of new snow added overnight and about 4cm added during the day. Which brings the 48 hour total for this area to ~57cm (or 22 inches). • Total slab depth resting above the 12/26 interface is now 80cm thick. We did not observe weak snow grains at this interface, however noted that it would make a good bed surface given how firm and smooth it is on southerlies. • Last night's snow is very light, dry, and unaffected by wind. Would expect it to slough readily on slopes exceeding 40 degrees. No signs of instability today. And despite decent visibility of nearby terrain, no natural avalanches observed save for a few loose dry point releases in steep rocky terrain.

Another calm snowy day in the Middle Fork. Light snow throughout most of the day amounting to about an inch and a half at middle elevations. Winds were calm-light out of the southwest (up to our high point of ~6400 on ridge top). We did not observe any active wind loading on nearby ridge lines. Tons of light dry snow at the surface, ready for lift off next time we see some moderate+ winds.
