Quick report

Swam our way into and back out of Kimmerly in one of the wetter days thus far this season. Went in with a suspicious attitude given the new loading and ongoing storm. Our pit confirmed this skepticism: we saw medium energy shears in compression tests and propagation with moderate force when we dug on a SE slope at 6500ft (HS 180cm, CT 23 Q2 @80cm, ECTP13 @140cm, ECTN30 @ 105). This kept us enjoying the low angle throughout our tour. Skies were either overcast or obscured. Winds came both from the SW and E at different points of the day and about 2” of snow fell while we were out. Temperatures were below freezing while up high, and decidedly not down low.
