Skinned up the McGill shoulder. As soon as we left the dense trees, we encountered strong to extreme winds from the N-NE intensely transporting snow. Shooting cracks on micro features at ridge top. Lots of hard slab propagating far. We entered the glades from the far skier's left through more mellow terrain, but were still able to ski cut two size 1 WS in the immediate lee, 20cm deep; touchy. Main chute had slid recently (see avalanche report). Still great skiing in the sheltered areas in the trees. Spicy elsewhere.
Main Chute in McGill Glades had avalanched in the past 12hrs. Ran down to the second bench.
