Video peak... almost

We went for a walk up video with not many expectations. When we got into hospital bowl we were surprised to see the face with 0 tracks and minimal wind effect except for the very top of the peak. 5 -10cm concealed the not so great conditions below. Where you would usually put a few too many switchbacks up the small gulley to gain the final ridge, the snow was so hard (wind slab from reverse loading last week?) we bootpacked to the summit ridge. At this point we knew the summit wouldn't be great so we dropped in below the summit. Snow was super variable punching through some windslabs in areas, and skiing dust on crust in others. This lasted until nearly halfway down the bowl. Hospital gullies, although slightly more tracks in it, skied quite well with some good snow to the bottom. No avalanche activity observed.
