Surprise Pass - up the path

Wicked day going up the avy path at surprise pass. We were a group of 11 skiers, tracked out the run quite well. Snow depth ranged from 150cm at the base to 225cm at 2200m. A faceted 3cm crust was found 40cm down in the lower open trees. A crust 50cm down was felt at 2200m but did not investigate. No signs of wind effect noticed.

Path was very packed. Good skiing in the track area and the trees.
