Quick report
Tour from Timberline 1030 up to 8200’ drop-in to WRG (just skier’s right of only un-slightly-re-hidden crevasse I saw all day, incl along westside entrance/exit ridge routes, albeit from afar w overcast skies). Skied slightly dense snow down ridge of eastern moraine to 5900’ then reascended to 8500’ and skied west gully/wall to exit around 6700’, thru semi-covered, crusty Salmon Gully area past Timberline and down Glade/Skiway to Maggies TH on renewed 100% coverage via skin track luge and dense surfy powder 7:30pm. Day began mostly clear, but quickly went overcast w occasional some low clouds. The dirty leesides of melted-out moraines have refreshed and WRG ski quality was a mix of slightly wind-dense passable to good. Experienced no cracking, etc despite tests and cautious moves on first drop-in, but per pics much evidence of wind-loading on east-facing terrain. All but one of crevasses I photo’d last week were either (very lightly?) re-covered or out of my field of view or both.
Avalanche
Three along western-most east-facing gully wall beneath large cornices about 7-7.5K’, prob not same day, but from angular, unweathered debris (last pic) likely this storm cycle for the largest of them at least (though possibly just more cornice chunks falling). Given wind loading patterns and a few crown-like features just below cornice lip, probably wind slabs D1.5-2. Debris didnt go far once it hit low angle gully fall line.
