Quick report
Left Hyak around 8am headed towards Silver Peak. Mostly cloudy all morning with occasional sun break, almost no wind below treeline. Saw some old looking loose slides on steep slopes. Encountered thick breakable crust around 3800' at 11am. Heavy graupel accumulation at 4200' in Silver Peak North bowl runout around noon for almost 30 minutes, followed by heavy snow. New snow kept us above the crust on the way down around 1:30pm. No signs of instability but didn't really venture into the steep stuff
