Quick report

Two friends and I went for a snowmobile ride out of the Crystal Springs Snopark off Exit 62 from 12:30-3:30pm. We were pleasantly surprised that there was still full snow cover on the groomed trail at the snopark. Snow was wet and slushy up to approximately 4000 feet and then became very hard to the point that the sleds started to over heat at higher elevations. At 3900 feet there was 78cm of snow on the ground. There were no signs of new avalanche activity. Above 4000 feet it was also very misty and we had to wipe our goggles regularly. They did not freeze up.
