Avalanche Information

Witnessed this slide from a skin track across the valley. Didn’t appear very deep from far away but definitely enough snow to give you a bad day. The main slide broke in a series of cascading fractures as it continued down the slope. The triggering skier stopped, traversed skiers right to a small open pitch, which fractured as well. The skier slid sideways on their feet for ~10m with the moving snow before exiting lookers left onto the apron. Didn’t investigate the weak layer, depth or interface, maybe the party involved will post more details?
