Quick report
We observed a thick, dense snowpack over the 1/31 layer, making it unlikely to trigger on sheltered, mid-elevation slopes in the northern quarter of the compass. No slab avalanches were visible in the Prairie, Norton, Saviers drainages. NW winds were drifting snow along ridgelines but weren't building slabs. Northern slopes continue to hold soft snow down to the valley floor. :)

Cloud coverage quickly thinned out overhead, and came back in around 1530 hours. The winds were blowing from the NW with light drifting snow along the ridgelines.
Snowpack
The 1/31 layer is buried 107 cm deep on a north-facing slope at 8,840'. A large column test yielded a PST (End) 60/107 on this layer. The faceted layer is rounding and showing signs of becoming more homogenous within the wall. The 2/23 layer is down 23 cm and produced ECTN18 results. While not currently a concern, it could be a player in the future with a significant load.
