Expected some minor movement of snow for the first few turns into the "gladed" steeper area of this run to happen but when it benched and changed from a low 30's angle to a mid 20's angle it surprisingly suddenly propagated/liquefied and gained velocity. Sending me for a bit of a ride. Partners were quick to get to me but I was able to self extract. Seems that the strong ridge winds from the prior 24hr loaded the slope and made a reactive weak layer "pillow" lower down and at a lower slope angle than we expected.

Skier triggered slide in Orion chutes. D1-1.5 12" crown 50+ yards wide. Skier carried (me) 100 yards. Ran on ice /sun crust
