Quick report
In general, better than expected stability. We did two independent pits this elevation about 50m apart, one E aspect and the other west. In each pit we did an ECT and PST (on the 1/4 layer). HS215 with the 1/4 crust 65cm down. F+ to F- hardness down to the 1/4 crust (see picture), below the crust, the hardness when to 4F and then 1F, P at the bottom. Ski pen was 40cm ECTP26 at 155 (1/4 crust). Even though ECT does report FC, the fracture appeared planar PST 80/100 Arr - It didn't budge at all The other pit had almost exactly the same results. ECTP22 at 1/4 crust. These results matched what we were feeling as we travelled to the site The snow below the 12/25(?) crust is big grained and still moist enough to make a snowball.
