Hoodoo Pass

Recreational tour. Finally some snow! We were able to drive to the Heart Lake Trailhead. ~12-18" of new snow at upper elevations resting on old faceted snow and crusts. Observed widespread cracking and collapsing failing on the old snow. We observed several small natural/remote cornice failures and avalanches on the leeward side of the upper ridgeline in addition to the remotely triggered persistent slab avalanche reported yesterday.
