Quick report
- Cracking
- specific
We went towards Bouillon basin and saw the slab triggered by the party in the other observation. When we went up to the ridge, the snow was wind affected and had shooting cracks at which point we decided to bail. In the trees out of the more wind affected areas, we saw ~1-1.5 feet of newer snow on top of the old ice crust. ~6” down, there was a noticeable layer of firmer snow. The top couple inches were warming up and consolidating as the day progressed.
