Echo summit

I walked around the Echo Summit area this morning. Winter like conditions with blowing snow, light snowfall and moderate to strong gusts out of the southwest. There was approximately 110 cm of new snow above the February 10th crust. I dug a pit on a N aspect at 7500'. The snow height here was 175 cm. There was approximately 105 cm of storm snow above the February 10th layer at this location. The storm snow was right side up with 4F at the bottom gradually going to F at the top. During my compression test the new snow had several progressive compression results within the top 50 cm but no clean sheer quality in any of these. I also had results on the February 10th interface within my compression test. One was resistant planar while the other was not as clean. Both times it failed on tap 28 at 105 cm down. The crust here is a little bit thicker at the February 10 interface with 15 cms of dry facets below it.  I walked around and tested small Windrift slopes to look for cracking or signs of instability, but none was observed.
