Say no to shallow snow!

There was poor visibility for most of the day. We did get a quick break in the clouds to see that SW aspects in the Alexander area were stripped clean and had deposited snow into lee features in the alpine and treeline. We did not get any significant test results on the persistent weak layers in our profile but did see evidence of older slab avalanches in steeper terrain where the snowpack was shallow. We stayed away from steep unsupported terrain and slopes with overhead hazards due to the poor visibility today.
