Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

It was a warm one today, with temperatures near freezing and cloud cover that created a bit of greenhouse effect. The sun also poked out for more than expected on the skin up - enough to moisten the snow surface and cause a bit of glopping on the skins. We toured up the ridge to just below treeline and took a couple laps. Up high, snow was creamy and supportable, got a bit gloppy down low in the trees. Collapsing was isolated and not quite as dramatic as when touring up on the pass last weekend. We took a conservative approach to the day, mindful to avoid open, steeper slopes and chose an tour that didn't have overhead hazard.

Avalanche

Visibility was going in and out but we could see a fair bit of slide debris on a steep ESE facing slope in what looked to be the Mill Creek drainage. Could not see the crown.
