Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
10-20cm of new snow in the Cat ski area on top of solar crust or wind impacted snow depending on aspect. Isolated whumps observed in N/NE aspect around 7800ft. Clear calm day which was a nice treat for the cat area! Observation pit was dug on a NE aspect at 7050ft. Clear signs of instability present in the Basil Facet layer with easy results on CT and CPST. These results were surprising with how much rounding was present in the 65-85cm Basil Facets. Travel through the Cat area was restricted to slopes under 35 degrees.
