Quick report
Two of us travelled on Moly's Ridge, Banner Summit. Took observation at top of NW trees. 11:36 AM, 7900', North aspect. Trace of new snow over night, broken clouds, 29 deg F. HS 125. First layer of concern was melt/freeze crust of 2 CM, 25 CM from top. Layer on top of crust was non cohesive 25 CM of PP. Performed hand shear test (was easy to moderate to shear), break was Q1 on 2 + mm of facets. While touring, no signs of instability. No loose snow problems observed. There was minimal solar heating due to limited sun throughout day. After 1 hour of sun. (1020-1120), skies were broken and gradually cloud cover increased. When finished tour back at banner summit parking, light snow (S-1), 32 deg F.
