Quick report

We found generally good skiing conditions on north aspects, with a boot penetration of about 40cm. South aspects received a lot of sun, and developed a pretty unpleasant crust late in the day. We dug a pit on a north aspect at 1800m to look for the persistent layer that is mentioned in the avy forecast. We did not find any sign of this layer down to 120cm below the snow surface. We performed a compression tap test and got a CTH23 result on the most recent storm slab interface at 40cm. The fracture was very non planar.
