Sky; overcast, Temp; 34, aspect 090, elevation 6300, wind ; 270 light and variable, slope; 28 deg, Hs 100cm, Column test; 1@ 10cm ( on melt freeze crust) 10@40cm (top of melt freeze crust) Lower failure was planar and displaced. Our skiing was affecting upper crust, but we didn’t observe any movement. It appeared the lower discontinuity was isolated from our ski penetration. Skiing in wind protected areas was good, but quite variable in areas of wind affect. We did experience collapsing in wind loaded areas. We avoided steep wind loaded slopes, while this is an unusual amount of snow for this early, there are still rocks to be found.
