- specific
Traveled 3600’-5700’ south facing terrain. Rode up to 38 deg slopes. 6-10” new snow above 12/28 crust, until ~4600’ where the crust was getting thinner and no longer present. Cloudy all day. On and off light snow with periods of moderate snow. On steeper small test slopes snow was moving on the crust. Stomping on small steeper wind loaded features produced consistent cracking. D1 storm slab pockets in unsupported terrain. See photos. Did not observe any naturals or other signs of instability.
