Quick trip to the facet farm at Rockdale for snow science fun. Didn't disappoint. Nordic patrol had wisely closed access to the biggest facets, but it didn't matter. Writing this after my first ECT of the afternoon. I've never seen facets fall out of a pit wall in Western Washington until today. ECTP1, Hand pits failed in isolation . There is a storm crust in some places at Snoqualmie.
