East peak, Cement Basin, Lake Basin in the Crystal Backcountry

Toured up East Peak into Cement Basin and continued up and took one lap down into Lake Basin before dropping back into cement and climbing up to ski out via solar slab. We found denser wind affected snow with small isolated cracking near the ridges but after a few turns it softened up and skied well and deep in both Cement and Lake. The sun didn’t come out until about 3 pm and there were lots of rollerballs and heavy snow on the lower half of Solar Slab. In the morning we observed an icky crust up to about 5200 ft while making our way up to East Peak.
